How to transfer files using MobiPDF for iOS

Moving files between devices is easy, as long as you follow these simple steps:

1. Download and install MobiPDF on your iPhone or iPad.

2. Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network.

3. In MobiPDF, go to "Files" → "Transfer Files to PC/Mac".

4. Once both devices are on the same Wi-Fi, tap "Connect".

5. Visit https://pdfsync.net/ and enter the generated 4-digit code or simply scan the QR code.

6. You can now freely move your files between devices!

How to use MobiPDF's Wi-Fi transfer

Upon pairing your devices, you will be redirected

Let's do a quick breakdown of each function within our file transfer service:

File browser: freely browse the default MobiPDF folder on your iOS device, as well as any
custom folders you may have created.

Download files: download a single file by simply right-clicking or tapping it and selecting
"Download". If on Mac/PC, you can also highlight multiple files and download them in a .zip
format by pressing down SHIFT + LEFT CLICK.

Upload files: add more files to the currently viewed folder. You can either add them
manually or drag & drop them directly within the file transfer window.

New folder: create a new folder with a custom name.

List/Icons mode: switch between a list and a grid-based file view in a single click.

To deactivate the file transfer service, either press "Stop" on your iOS device or close the web page on your PC
or Mac. It's that simple!

Can you transfer files between devices on different networks?

Your devices have to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network, otherwise the file transfer service will return an error.

Can you transfer files between Android devices?

Since our file-sharing service is always hosted from an iOS device (either iPhone or iPad), Android-to-Android and similar transfers are currently not supported.

Is there a limit to the amount of PDFs I can transfer?

Our service is free and allows for unlimited file transfers between devices.

Why is the file transfer service not working?

Your second device is likely either offline or connected to a different Wi-Fi network. Please also note that we don't currently support hotspot networks, so even if your devices are connected to the same hotspot, the service still won't work due to technical limitations.

How do I scan QR codes?

Simply point the camera of your device toward the QR code and open the generated link.

What are the system requirements?

To use our free iOS file transfer, your iPhone or iPad device should support iOS 15.0 or later and your MobiPDF app should be on version 4.2 or above. Our file transfer service is compatible with all recent Android, Windows, macOS, and iOS devices.
